I was really enjoying the challenge of what to choose as a thank you gift for a dear family friend who had helped me solve an important problem. This is a man with refined tastes and a love of the outdoors. He's the proverbial man who has everything. By the way, did you know there was a Superman episode of a similar title? In fact, this friend has kind of had that role in my life! In any case, to me, choosing a gift for him was an entertaining prospect. There were so many things to consider…for example, a classic compass, or a piece of an extraordinary and beautiful mineral (just certainly not kryptonite!), or a subscription to a fine photography magazine…but I ultimately went for something for his palate. I thought this would also be something that would be a pleasant surprise for him…and that's how I decided on the gift of wild game meat! As I've recently started to buy beef online, I actually found this right there online, too! So my enjoyable exploration of gifts brought me to what felt like just the right thing for him…and I dare say his enthusiastic response seemed to indicate as much! Anticipating such a response is why looking for the right gift for someone is often so enjoyable to me.
